When I was 16 years old, the little town I grew up in got a Lids at our mall, which we thought we had arrived on the map because we had a Lids. And I remember as a teenager going to that little placard in the mall where you find where the Lids is – A7. Well A7 really means nothing until you know where that star is that says “You Are Here”.
One of our primary responsibilities in life is is to lead ourself well. David shows us this in Psalm 42 when he says, “Self why are you so down? Put your hope in God.” And it’s his way of leading himself.
The key to leading yourself well is knowing exactly where you are right now. So my question for you is, do you know where you are? Do you know what your strengths are, your weaknesses are and your blindspots are? Because if you do, leading yourself becomes a whole lot easier.
