Who We Are

Home » Who We Are

Not easy.

You may be wondering, what I mean by ‘not easy’.

Simply, it’s not comfortable to write about myself — or my family for that matter – to untold thousands of strangers out in the worldly clouds.

But here I am… doing it because believe it or not, this page ‘Who Are We’ is one of the most popular pages on Church.org. My wife (Debbie) tells me that she even looks at this page on many sites that she explores. I guess it’s a ‘trust factor’. And I’m so cool with that. I get it!

With that… in the beginning you should know that we created Church.org for one single purpose. Connect people to a church home. God loves His ‘Church’! Check out Ephesians 5:25, “Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her.”

For us… when our college bound kid journeyed off to college 400+ miles away we wanted him to have the ability to ‘easily’ locate a church home from his key pad. Very simple. In other words, his perseverance to visit multiple churches before finding a church home may be truly tested. And we wanted to ‘stack the deck’ in His favor to find a church home as easy as possible!

You see, with Church.org our goal is to ‘introduce’ a few or even dozens of local churches within minutes and without the visitor putting on his/her shoes! With a simple click, you can find out almost anything about any church including comments from visitors and members alike.

Watch church sermons online. Check out the pastor. See church times as well as a map to the church. In fact, we just added the church’s twitter for you to catch up on what’s going on RIGHT NOW with any church.

Secondly, our goal has now been expanded. We now bring the church to YOU! You see, online church services are a great way to see sermons. Although, the ‘church’ is God’s people and nothing can replace worshipping alongside with others… an online sermon is great for ‘starts’. In fact, I know that from time-to-time that I’ll take a break and kick back on Sunday mornings and turn on the monitor. Especially if I’m feeling a bug coming on.

One other thing. It’s powerful. We’re really hopeful that people will use the ‘Most Popular Sermons’ whenever they may have a specific issue. Just think of it… if you have or know of someone who has an issue like a possible divorce, anxiety, teen ager problems or whatever… and you can go online and IMMEDIATELY plug in and watch a leading sermon on this given topic by a leading renowned pastor?!

All to say, our goals are ever changing based on how we interpret God’s purpose for Church.org.

Deb & I are always open to your suggestions too. Feel free to email us anytime although it may take several days to respond since we have real day jobs.

Not enough info to achieve the desired ‘trust’?

No problem, let’s dig a little more. Okay, if you read this far, let’s get out of my comfort zone and get personal. Deb (my ‘bride’) and I live in Alpharetta, GA, USA. Admittedly, we have four boys, two dogs and a lovely niece that lives with us. We worship at Passion City Church and love serving our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. My most recent sugar high was serving as a doorholder at Passion 2013. WOW!

In closing and if I may be so bold and reflect upon Colossians 3:16-17, “Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts. And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.”

So this is who we are. Not perfect. In fact, far from it. But I’m so thankful for God’s grace. Do I hear an ‘amen’? As for now, I’m hopeful that I’ve answered a couple if not all of your questions. Until next time, keep us and Church.org in your prayers and give praise to our Heavenly Father!
