CHURCH’s Corner

Church Vision:

About Holy Angels - Holy Angels was founded in 1866 in Hoge Kansas, three miles west of the church today, with about 15 families. The first stone church was replaced with a brick church built in 1911, and renamed St. Patrick. After a fire destroyed the church in 1924, the third church (brick) was built on the northeast corner on 155th and Leavenworth Road; it was built west of the current sanctuary. In 1961, this church was condemned and demolished. The present church was completed in 1962, and the name "Angels," was restored. The current room, which began under the leadership of Ms. Quinlan, was consecrated in 1984. There are currently over 560 registered families in the community. We believe that creation is good, and that God uses the building to use for their purposes, then it has been affected by original sin, as the result of the sin of the first humans. Catholic theologians, (and Orthodox) have never agreed on a particular interpretation of the creation story in Genesis. A small number of early Christians read literally allegorically, and another in the light of knowledge over time. Some people read all three channels simultaneously. Catholics should not interpret Genesis in a literal sense, as the interpretation is faithful to the teachings of the Church. So Catholics are free to understand the true meaning of Genesis the word, but also to read the book of Genesis in the light of modern scientific observations until certain conditions are met. For example: Catholics believe that God created the world out of nothing (ex nihilo), creating the world by his Word, who became man in Jesus Christ. The interpretation of Genesis in the light of the clash of scientific observations, Christians whose churches have been in discussions of modernity in the 19 and 20 century founded. Surprisingly, there is very literal understanding of Genesis; it is actually a very modern approach. To believe in the Nicene Creed, we believe in a God who is composed of three persons ("person," means in this usage") an individual reality.
