Olivet Lutheran Church
Faith Lutheran focuses on the person and work of Jesus Christ. We believe God is triune or three in one. We believe that the Son of God became man to suffer and die for the sins of the world so that all in him should not perish but through his replacement at the cross for us we receive forgiveness and life eternal. Lutherans believe that salvation was possible to 100% of the work of Jesus Christ. Hence the term evangelical Christ alone. Lutherans believe that we are not Gods grace and by forgiveness we can be saved by works of justice and decide the punishment for our past even by a personal act to follow Jesus. However work is fully God. This raises the Lutheran movement of Grace alone! Lutherans believe that faith in Jesus is essential for salvation. But we understand that trust is the work of God the Holy Spirit works through the Scriptures and the sacraments to create this kind of belief. We understand that the simple faith in the promises of God in Jesus Christ is sufficient to ensure high individual. So the whole evangelical faith alone! Lutherans take their belief in Scripture. Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod continue to believe that the Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God and the revelation only to the two beliefs and practices. These give rise to the term evangelical Scripture alone!
