I. The Scriptures – The Bible was written by men inspired by God and is the self-revelation of God to man. Its a real treasure of divine instruction. It has God for its author salvation for its end and truth without mixture of error for the question. Therefore all Scripture is totally true and trustworthy. This reveals the principles by which God judges us and therefore is and will remain until the end of the world the true center of Christian union and supreme standard by which all human conduct creeds and religious opinions should be tried. All Scripture is a testimony to Christ himself the subject of divine revelation. There is one and only one living and true God. It is a spiritual intelligent and personal being the Creator Redeemer Preserver and Ruler of the Universe. God is infinite in holiness and all other perfections. Knowing God is omnipotent omniscient perfect and extends to all things past present and future including the future decisions of His free creatures. We owe the highest love respect and obedience. The eternal triune God reveals himself to us as Father Son and Holy Spirit with distinct personal characteristics but without division of nature essence or being. (A. God as Father God as Father reigns with care in their world its creatures and the rate of flow of human history for the purposes of His grace. He is omnipotent omniscient all loving and all wise. God is Father in truth to become children of God through faith in Jesus Christ. He is fatherly in His attitude toward all men. (B. God as Son Christ is the eternal Son of God. In His incarnation as Jesus Christ Holy Spirit was born of Mary. Jesus perfectly revealed and the will of God takes upon himself the human nature with its demands and needs therefore identifies completely with the people yet without sin. He honored the divine law by His personal obedience and in his atoning death on the cross He sets the redemption of mankind from sin. He was one of the dead with a glorified body and his disciples came up when the person who was with them was before His crucifixion. He ascended to heaven and has increased in the right hand of God where he is the only Mediator fully God and fully man in whose person is held in reconciliation between God and man. He will once again turn in power and glory in the world and accomplish his redemptive mission. He now lives in all believers as the living and ever present Lord.
