Battalion Pentecostal Church
“Welcome to Battalion Pentecostal Church! We are a traditional contemporary church reaching out locally with a life changing message of the Gospel of Jesus.
Battalion Pentecostal Assembly is committed to fulfilling the five tasks that Christ has ordained for His Church to accomplish:
WORSHIP – Matthew 4:10 states, “Worship the Lord, your God, and serve Him only”. Worshipping God is the Church’s first purpose. Throughout Scripture we’re commanded to celebrate God’s presence by magnifying the Lord and exalting His name. Psalm 34:3 says, “Oh, magnify the Lord with me, let us exalt His name together.” We should not worship out of duty; we should worship because we want to. We should enjoy expressing our love to God.
FELLOWSHIP – Fellowship is identification with the body of Christ.
As Christians we belong to Christ’s family and are members of His body. Baptism is not only a symbol of salvation; it is a symbol of fellowship, our new life in Christ, and a person’s incorporation into the body of Christ. As Christians we are not alone. We have each other for support. The Church exists to provide fellowship for believers. Read Ephesians 2:19.
EVANGELISM – The Church exists to communicate God’s Word.
We are Ambassadors for Christ, and our mission is to evangelize the world. It is every Christian’s responsibility to share the Good News wherever we go. We are to tell the whole world of Christ’s coming, His death on the cross, His resurrection and His promise to return. Read Matt. 28: 19-20, Mark 16:15, Luke 24:47-49 and Acts 1:8. Jesus commissions us to go and tell the world the message of salvation.
DISCIPLESHIP – The Church exists to edify, or educate God’s people.
Discipleship is the process of helping people become more like Christ in their thoughts, feelings and actions. This process begins when a person is born again and continues throughout the rest of his/her life. Read Colossians 1:28. As a Church we are called not only to reach people, but to teach them. It is the Church’s responsibility to develop people to spiritual maturity. This is God’s will for every believer.
STEWARDSHIP – The Church exists to minister to people.
Ministry is demonstrating God’s love to others by meeting their needs and healing their hurts in the name of Jesus. The Church is to minister to all kinds of needs: spiritual, emotional, relational and physical.”
