Acorn Ridge Baptist Church
The Acorn Ridge Baptist Church had its beginning around 1818-1820 when it was organized as the Mechanics Hill Baptist Church and was located where the Woodmen of the World Hall now stands in Robbins. In 1945, Mechanics Hill Baptist Church officially changed its name to Acorn Ridge Baptist Church. Upon the knowledge of deteriorating biblical principles, the church in 1949 seceded from the Sandy Creek Baptist Association and the Southern Baptist Convention. The Acorn Ridge Baptist Church has remained separate from any denominational ties and is now incorporated under the laws of North Carolina as an unaffiliated Baptist Church.
At Acorn Ridge Baptist Church, we are on a mission mandated by the Lord Jesus Christ Himself. That mission has a dual emphasis; first, we are committed to doing our part, as the Lord directs us, in proclaiming the good news that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures and that He was buried and rose again, that He lives to save from sin, death, and hell all who will accept Him as their Savior. Second, we are dedicated to building, strengthening, and ministering to the body of Christ, His church. Through the loving, uncompromising ministry of His Word and the exercise of our God-given spiritual gifts we accomplish this task for His glory.
